Our Town
by Thornton Wilder Performances October 3-5, 2014 The Union County Veterans Memorial Auditorium Beneficiary All proceeds benefited The Hope Center Of Marysville: $1,392.00 Our Town (1938) takes place between 1901 and 1913 in Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, a community that has not produced anyone very "remarkable". Our Town tells us the story of every town, the whole world over. Narrated by the "Stage Manager", we follow the Gibbs and Webb families, residents of Grover’s Corners, through twelve years of life changes -- from daily life to love & marriage to finally death & eternity. Through the young lovers, Emily and George, their parents and the many locals of Grover's Corner, Our Town delivers universal truths about what it means to be human. |
